Woodstock District 200 Web Site Wins INSPRA Award
Oak Park, Illinois (September 17, 2004)—The
Illinois Chapter of the National School Public Relations
Association (INSPRA) presented the Woodstock District
200 Web site with the Award of Excellence in the 2004
Communications Contest.
Oak Park, Illinois-based Purple Monkey Studios, Inc.,
designed and developed the Web site at http://www.woodstockschools.org.
Launched last year, the site is a valuable resource
for District employees, students, parents, community
members, prospective residents, and anyone else who
wants more information about District 200.
"The design developed by the team from Purple
Monkey Studios created just the image we wanted for
our school district,” said Barbara Banker, Director
of Community Services for District 200. “We have
received countless compliments on the quality of the
Web site.”
Steven Saraceno, Purple Monkey Studios’ President
and Co-Founder, believes working closely with the clients
made the end product an award-winning success. “We
set up focus groups in the [Woodstock] community, and
this brought in great ideas for the look and feel of
the site,” Saraceno reflected. “It was
truly a collaborative effort.”
Along with designing and developing the individual
pages within the site, Purple Monkey Studios programmed
a calendar feature which District 200 can maintain
and update. Site visitors also can choose to view the
entire site in either English or Spanish. Purple Monkey
Studios continues to work with District 200 to add
new features and enhancements to the site.
Members of the Illinois chapter of the Public Relations
Society of America (PRSA) judged the contest.
